It’s officially September and I’m so excited to start thinking about Fall! The change of attire, pumpkin-flavored everything, and decorating our house for Halloween sounds SO fun. Much needed too since I’ve been trying to keep my boredom to a minimum during the quarantine.
It’s still 80+ degrees in San Diego and will stay quite warm until early November, so I have to be a little creative with my outfit choices. Finding the perfect Summer to Fall transition skirt was an ongoing journey this past month because you guys know I’m picky AF.

Good news though – I found her. Floral, bright, and also doubles as a Fall staple.
Capsule wardrobes are incredibly important as we become more aware of the impact fast fashion has on our environment.
This is the skirt to incorporate into your capsule wardrobe. It can be worn SO many ways, but I’ll cover how I’m styling it below 🙂

How to Style for Warmer Weather
Any neutral-colored top would be beautiful with this skirt, but I paired mine with a white square neck bodysuit for a polished look. I wanted to keep the focus on the pattern of the skirt, so accessories are neutral colored as well. My straw bag is from amazon & under $30 + the Marc Fisher studded gladiator sandals are 40% off at Nordstrom.

It was SO warm shooting this part of the blog post but so worth it! I can’t wait for the weather to cool off so I can wear this out and about.
How to Style for Cooler Weather
The same rule applies here – any neutral-colored long sleeve top or sweater looks so great with this skirt. I’m wearing this puffed-sleeve white bodysuit from Abercrombie (similar here).
Brown, white, or even cream-colored leather booties take this skirt from Summer to Fall instantly. I got my cognac booties from M. Gemi and LOVE them!

What I love about this skirt:
- It’s breezy and the slit isn’t too high.
- The waistband is elastic and easy to throw on.
- The quality is great and holds shape after washing/drying.
