My Favorite Summer Tops from Express!

Who’s excited for Summer? Thinking of all the beach days, lunch dates with friends, and even possible trips(?) ahead of us, has me ecstatic!
Since last summer was spent mostly in sweatpants, sitting under the A/C indoors, I’m ready to clean out my closet and step up my everyday outfits. If you follow me on IG, you might have heard me talk about researching and creating a capsule wardrobe!
I found two very easy-to-wear outfits from Express and the key to making the look work are summer statement tops.
Embroidered Puff Sleeve Ruffle Top
This cutie makes a statement in the best way – subtle, with gorgeous detailing. The floral work on the sleeves is my favorite part. This type of top looks great with denim jeans, white shorts & a silky maxi skirt in a similar shade. I think this summer top could easily transition from spring, all the way through fall.
I’ll be wearing this to brunch, dinner dates and anywhere I need to feel put-together this summer.

Styling this top is SO easy. The goal is to not distract from the sleeves, so keeping it minimal here is key. A light-colored denim jean, nude sandals + minimal gold jewelry will complete the look!
I’m wearing gold star drop earrings and one gold knot bracelet for a little sparkle without adding too much!
Also, love these shoes for summer in general. Braided shoes are super trendy right now and Express has a few cute options. The tone of the beige ones I have is SO good because they look chic with both warm and cool-toned outfits.
I found this top ran true to size and was pretty comfortable.
Striped Ruffle Wrap-Tie Cami
When I first saw this top, it reminded me of something I would have packed for a trip to the Mediterranean and I had to get it! Who knows when we’ll be able to go to that part of the world again, so – why not bring the vacation vibes into my closet.
The tie front, ruffle on the bottom and ruffle sleeve makes this top a must in my opinion! It looks even better with dainty gold jewelry and a pop of pink lipstick.
I’m usually a medium in tops, but I sized up on this one! The bust was a little tiny on me, so if you’re fuller chested I would suggest sizing up. The straps are adjustable and the tie waist helps you get the perfect fit!
I also have to shout out these jeans! They’re also from Express. I’m wearing the Mid Rise Light Wash Raw Hem Skinny Jeans. Pairing these with a statement top works so well because they keep the focus on the detailing of your shirt while hugging your curves in all the right places. They do have a bit of a stretch – so perfect for a day of exploring or any summer activity!

I just ordered this top in two more colors because I love the fit so much! All I want my summer tops to do for me is be comfortable, go with a few things in my closet, have gorgeous detailing, and have a feminine touch. Okay, that’s a lot – but I’m happy to report this top hits all the marks! I ordered the white silk version & the burnt orange color too!

Can we talk about the gold, layered evil eye necklace though? I was trying to get a minimal-looking one for over A YEAR and this one just popped up for under $25. Catch me wearing this every day haha!
I haven’t been excited about fashion in such a long time – really since before the pandemic. Seeing all the cute new summer items hit retailers has been so, so fun for me! I think Express totally killed the Spring and Summer collections this year.
