Modern Love Event with BHLDN
How about a little escapism for ya? A couple of weeks ago I got the opportunity to attend the Modern Love Event with one of my favorite bridal brands – BHLDN. It was such a dream! Full disclosure – I’ve been engaged for six months and have not planned a single thing. I just got around to hiring a wedding planner, ha! Attending this event was so helpful & I got SO many ideas for our wedding.
The Modern Love Event is local to San Diego and hosts all sorts of dreamy wedding dress designers, wedding vendors, decor ideas & incredible food + music. I have to recommend this event to anyone that enjoys party or event planning. BHLDN had their own room filled with magical dresses and other vendors came as well, like Swoonful, a cotton candy vendor that made glittery, alcoholic flavors (so cute!).
Okay, let’s get into the dresses! I was lucky enough to model one of my favorite dresses: this one! I loved all the color in this dress and came around to the idea of considering non-traditional wedding gowns. We paired it with a veil and lacey pointed-toe kitten heels. I felt like a boho princess!

BHLDN Wedding Gowns:
SO fun, right? I had a blast hanging out with the BHLDN girls and two other San Diego bloggers, Style Hawking and Glean & Glow.
We explored around the venue after the sun went down, tried the champagne trucks, cake vendors and even got to dance a bit!
Champagne truck! Do I need this for my wedding? 🙂
